Below are many Frequently Asked Questions.



  • Can I be hired with an Expired Certification ?  The Agency is currently able to hire experienced Caregivers who have an Expired or Active Certification from any state. Caregivers without a Certificate can also be hired.
  • Do I have to be Vaccinated for Covid 19 ? No. It is Not a Requirement.
  • Now Hiring: Non Certified Caregivers  or HHA, CNA, PCA, DSP
  • Is there Drug Testing. Yes the Agency conducts pre-employment drug screening to be done at the office upon the caregivers arrival. 
  • Are criminal Background Checks Done? Yes, caregivers will be fingerprinted once they arrive in town.
  • Are References Required. Yes. Caregivers should be prepared to provide 2 Basic Professional references, Name and Phone Number ( Non Family Members) of someone who can attest to their good character. 
  • Is a Credit Check Performed. No 
  • Where is the Agency? The Office is near Scranton Pennsylvania. 
  • What Airport is near the Agency? Wilkes Barre International Airport. ( AVP ) 
  • How far is the Bus or Train Station from the Office? The Office is 10 Minutes by car from the Bus / Train Station
  • When Do I complete Training Orientation. Currently, caregivers complete training orientation either on a Tuesday or Thursday and usually start work the next day.
  • How soon will I start work? The recruiting team works closely with the HR and Scheduling Coordinators, so that Caregiver start work about 48 hours after arriving.
  • Does the Agency Offer Benefits. Yes. The Insurance is Aetna and includes, Medical, Hospital, Vision, Dental and Life insurance and certain Federal Holidays are paid at Time and Half, after 60 days of employment. 
  • What is the Pay? Gross Pay is $1065 per 7 Day week. 
  • Who pays for the Travel Expense to get to the Office in Pennsylvania.  Caregivers are Responsible for their own travel to Pennsylvania. However, we may offer some transportation assistance. (To be discussed with your Recruiter)
  • How Frequently Are Caregivers Paid? Payroll is processed weekly via Direct Deposit. Pay goes into personal bank accounts or Caregivers can enroll to use a Payroll Debit Card provided by the Agency.
  • Traveling to Northern Pennsylvania. Caregiver may drive themselves to the Office or travel by Plane, Bus, or Amtrak to Pennsylvania or use a Private Van Service from Manhattan NYC or NJ that goes to Scranton Pennsylvania.   
  • Do I need a Car for this job? No, The office offers transportation assistance to get Caregivers to and from assignments, from the office in Scranton Pennsylvania.
  • If I have my own vehicle can I use it to drive to my Assignments? Yes
  • Do you provide housing? Caregivers will be living-in with the Client / Patient. 
  • Where Do I stay before I start work? At a local hotel near the Office. * Hotel Lodging will be provided to Caregivers who pass their Drug screen and who will be completing the training Orientation at no cost to the Caregiver. 
  • Do I need Scrubs or Uniforms to work?  Yes, any color or style scrubs are permitted.
  • How long does it take to start work. Typically Caregivers start work 48 hours after arriving in town. Free lodging at no cost to the Caregivers is provided.
  • I am a Traveling CNA, Do I need to reciprocity. The Agency accepts out of state certifications. No reciprocity is required.
  • Where do I go to apply. The first step is to have a conversation with "a Recruiter." 
  • Is weekly overtime paid? Yes, overtime is calculated into the weekly pay.
  • Why does the Agency deduct taxes from each caregivers Paycheck. The Agency is in Compliance with Federal and Local Tax Laws, also W2 employees are covered by workers Compensation and Unemployment Insurance.

  • Do I need to apply for reciprocity in advance to start work?  No.The Agency accepts certification from any state in the United States. 
  • Do I need a Physical Exam? No. A Physical Exam is not a requirement.
  • Permanent Assignment: Caregivers who are available to work At least 2 Months straight, can be assignment a permanent assignment. Caregivers take breaks from 1 to 3 weeks off then return to their client's home. 
  • Fill-in Assignments: Fill-ins are from 1 to 3 weeks, and ongoing assignments are available. 
  • How long can I stay on an assignment before taking a break to go home? Many Caregivers Choose to stay on assignment for 2  to 3 Months at a time. Once on a permanent assignment, each caregiver decides how long they continue to stay on their assignment.
  • How will I get food? Caregivers are responsible for their own food. Typically Caregiver bring some basic food supplies when they first arrive and going forward usually use the same method to get food, that the clients do. Supermarket delivery services, Walmart, Amazon and other methods. If a caregiver has a car, they would coordinate with the office, as-to when it would it appropriate.

Job Description

About the Position

Live-In Caregivers perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):

  • Personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, assisting to bathroom or in using bedpan, grooming, care of mouth, skin, nails and hair
  • Ambulation assistance and help with prescribed range of motion exercises
  • Medication oversight and reminders
  • Companionship, socializing with the client, purposeful engagement, facilitating wellness activities, community involvement
  • Cooking, meal and snack preparation, measuring and preparing special diets
  • Shopping (grocery, household, other) and running errands
  • Transport to and from appointments, shopping and/or other activities
  • Perform homemaking activities including (but may not be limited to) dusting, vacuuming, sweeping or mopping floors, cleaning of common areas including kitchen and bathrooms, washing dishes, doing laundry, changing bed
  • Dementia/Alzheimer’s Care
  • Hospice Care
